I’m Mandi - here to capture your day as it actually felt.
A little direction, a lot of you.
I’ll prompt when needed, pose when it helps, and step back when the moment takes over. I like to give direction without making anything feel forced. Whatever kind of session we’re shooting, I want you laughing, moving, getting a little messy, and having fun.
The goal isn’t perfect photos. It’s photos that feel like you — the real laughs, happy tears, windblown hair, dirty sneakers, stolen glances, and little candid moments you didn’t even realize I caught.
Real moments.
Real connection.
Real you.

A Little Off-Trail
I was born and raised in Stoney Creek, Ontario, but apparently I have a hard time staying put.. I have since called Alberta, British Columbia and even Australia home. Calgary is where I've "planted roots" and call home for now.. but if you know me, you know I'm never ruling out the next adventure.
02.
Organized Chaos
I'm a Type B personality with a Type A work ethic. My friends would describe me as "energetic" with a million things on the go at all times. I thrive in organized chaos - give me a million ideas, something I'm passionate about, a little time pressure and I'll make it happen.

Always in Motion
I'm happiest when I'm active, outside, or trying something new. Winter is for snowboarding, summer is for camping, baseball and whatever new hobby I've decided to pick up that month. The gym is a year round affair. Fitness has always been a huge part of my life and I still personal train clients part time. So naturally... sitting still has never really been my strong suit.

For the Memories
I’ll choose experiences over things every time. I love travelling, exploring somewhere new, and meeting people along the way. I would say I am an extrovert, my favourite saying and the ongoing joke with my Stranger-Danger-conscious friends is: “Strangers are just friends you haven’t met yet.” Although, statistically speaking, some are probably murderers.
Speaking of which… I love true crime. Books, documentaries, rabbit holes - I’m in.
But back to the point: I’m incredibly nostalgic. Old photos, home videos, and music can instantly take me back to a moment. I think that’s a big part of why I fell in love with photography - freezing little pieces of life so you can step back into them years later.
